Advocate Dinkar Parasharam Bhave was born on 4th February 1935 at Pale Village (Taluka Panvel, Dist. Colaba {now Raigad}). His primary, High School education was at Thane, Pune. He pursued higher studies at the B. M. C. C., Pune and the Law College, Pune.

He earned the degree of B.Com. in March 1955. Then he passed the First Chartered Accountant’s exam in October, 1955. He passed the LL.B.Examination in October 1957 with First Class and First rank in distinction.He scored highest marks to receive two awards in the field of (i) Hindu Law and (ii) The Transfer of Property Act, 1882.

In 1958, he was directly appointed as Sales Ta Officer, and later on,in January 1962, he was appointed as an Additional Government Agent before the Sales Tax Tribunal, (DR) which gave him opportunity of handling for 4 1⁄2 years legal work in Bombay (Maharashtra) Sales Tax Tribunal on behalf of the State Government.

After a brief stint in the Bank of India, he joined in executive grade Esso Eastern Inc. in January 1970. Then for about 23 years he took care of all adjudication matters, appeals, and second appeals before various Taxation Authorities, Boards of Revenue, Tribunals/courts regarding indirect taxation pan India and argued the cases himself.

On retirement in March 1993, he has been practicing Law for the last 27 years, after his enrollment on 2nd April 1993 as an advocate by the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa

Keeping in mind the problems faced by a “common man”, he has, in last 5 years, published nine (9) monographs on various subjects like Will and the Last Testament, Property held in joint Names, Family Arrangements, Ancestral Property and so on.
